Best Spots to Take a Picture of the Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is without any doubt one of the most photographed landmarks in the world. If you travel to Paris, the Tower is possibly the one spot you need to take a picture of. These are the best places to snap the perfect picture from.


Champ de Mars

You will experience one of the most stunning views of the Eiffel Tower from walking along the Champ de Mars. This is the best spot for having a picnic and enjoying the view while eating some fresh baguette, cheese and drinking a delicious wine. If you wait until the evening the Eiffel Tower will lit on sparkles every hour.

How to get there: just a short walk from the École Militaire metro station (line 8)


Arc de Triomphe

If you want to view a spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower with the city skyline, you should definitely try this spot. After walking almost 300 steps to the top of the Arc de Triomphe you will be greeted by stunning Parisian rooftops and the Eiffel Tower majestically rising in the background.

How to get there: get out of the metro station Charles de Gaulle Etoile (lines: 1,2,6) right in front of the Arc de Triomp


Printemps Shopping Center

The shopping centre Printemps has a rooftop terrace with café and a great view of Parisian rooftops, Sacre-Coeur and the Eiffel Tower. The terrace has been also hosting weddings thanks to its amazing background.

How to get there: take the metro to Havre–Caumartin station (line: 3, 9). The shopping centre is right at the metro entrance.

Printemps shopping centre consists of three buildings connected by bridges that make the Printemps shopping centre. Go to the middle one and take the elevator right up to the 9th floor.


Pont de Bir-Hakeim

The iconic bridge Pont de Bir-Hakeim offers one of the greatest views of the Eiffel Tower and the Seine river. This makes it one of the most popular spots for photographing the Tower.

How to get there: walk at the bridge from the Bir-Hakeim metro station (line: 6)


Trocadero

Trocadero is always crowded with tourists as it offers a great view of the Eiffel Tower and the Champ de Mars behind it. If you wait until the evening, this is a perfect spot for watching the light show. It is also a favourite spot for taking an Instagram picture with the stairs leading up to the Trocadero.

How to get there: just right in front of you when you get out of the La Tour-Maubourg metro station (line: 6, 9)
